Wind Energy

Wind is created by the uneven heating of the Earth's surface by the Sun. Wind energy has been used for thousands of years in the form of sailboats and windmills. The amount of energy this source produces can depend on the speed of the winds at the time, as well as their strength. Today, wind energy in Australia only generates a small proportion of the country's electricity needs.
