Oxford Dictionary meaning:
Inspired teacher, revealer or interpreter of God's will.

Prophetical writers of O.T., major prophets, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, the 12 minor prophets, Hosea to Malachi.

Spokesman, advocate (of principle), one who foretells events.

 

Activity 2: What is a "Prophet"?

A. Each of you will have certain roles to play within the group: Recorder, Presenter, Designer/Researcher and Group Leader. You will swap roles in each of the activities so you will have a turn at presenting your group's ideas to the class. Decide who will fulfill each function for this activity. 

B. Brainstorm the meaning of the word "Prophet".
