Background

Thank God You're Here - Comedy Show

Wiki - Thank God You're Here

This is a Comedy Skit where a troupe of actors is waiting to say "Thank God You're here" and play out a scene where everyone but the new arrival knows what was going on.

Your Task

As a group, you are to design a segment for the TV Comedy program Thank God you're here! – based on the A Christmas Carol with the four Ghosts plaguing the President of the International Astronomers Union about the decision to drop Pluto. The The Ghost of Lovell (the discoverer of Pluto will be one of the Ghosts).

You are to design the set, costumes and props for this comedy skit. You may combine with the other groups who have selected to carry out this exercise to design and create the set. However, as each skit is to be different, the props and costumes will be different.

As a group, you will be part of the troupe that will know what the skit is about. You will have some lines and phrases ready to use to help the skit progress.

You are to design the set of criteria for judging how well each group of students (in the other groups) perform!

Performance

Your group is to be the production team for a performance of "Thank God You're Here" based on the decision of the International Astronomers Union to drop Pluto as a planet.

The skit is to last for 5 minutes and is to be as creative and humorous as possible!

You are to develop the lines and phrases - have them written up for submission.

You are to follow the rules of Theatre Sports!
