Auto Electrician - Andrew

Description of Job:

I repair vehicles that have usually broken down.

I hated school and rebelled.

Training:

I was trained through the CIT (Canberra Institute of Technology) for my trade. My training took three years at CIT part time.
I found my trade training different to my school years because I was doing something that I enjoyed and was interested in rather than something I had to do.

Employment:

Having a trade always helps in employment and therefore income. I can't remember my first pay.

I do think about retirement and am trying to prepare.

I repair vehicles that have usually broken down, so people usually notice and appreciate it.

Development:

I am given no productivity incentives and no on the job training is provided at present.
