Retail and Hospitality - CHEF

Activity:
Prepare a baked lamb dinner for your family.

Stuff you will need:
1. A leg of lamb. Check the size that your family usually eats.
2. A sprig of rosemary
3. 2 cloves of garlic
4. Potatoes - one medium size for each member of the family.
5. Sweet potato - one slice for each member of the family.
6. Onions - one per person
7. Flour - plain, 3 tablespoons
8. Large baking dish
9. Pumpkin - one slice per person.
What to do
1. Carefully slice garlic length ways into 3.
2. Make six holes in the lamb - have them spread out over the whole of the lamb.
3. Into the holes, place some rosemary leaves and a slice of garlic
4. Place into pan.
5. Peel and slice potatoes and place around lamb.
6. Cut off the tops and bottoms of the onions and place these around lamb.
7. Cut out pumpkin seeds and peel. (Sometimes leave the skin on - it's delicious).
Place in pan. If you have a few people in your family, you might need to have another pan.
8. Bake at 180 degrees or 350 degrees for one hour. Turn vegetables and meat.
9. Bake a further half an hour.
10. To make the gravy. Place meat and vegetables on a plate and replace in oven
(now turned off). Pour off fat from pan but retain the juices. Add flour. Stir until the
flour is mixed with the juices. Slowly add some water and return the pan to the stove
heat, stirring all the time. When thicken, pour over meat and vegetables.
