How to use the Australian Bureau of Statistics Data










Step 1

Go to the following link - it lists all the Australian States and Territories.

Step 2

Click on the Blue Arrow next to your chosen State/Territory.

Be sure to click on the arrow and not the underlined word.

This will create a menu underneath the State/Territory with some more options.

Step 3

Once your State/Territory has been chosen, continue clicking on the blue arrows for the region, city or suburb closest to you, there may be 2 or 3 levels before you find your specific area.

Once there are no more blue arrows, you have found the most relevant area, click on the underlined option to find out more.

Step 4

On this page you will find downloadable information and and a snapshot of the area containing all the information you will need for this part of the webquest. You will need to look for information about:

  • People of Indigenous Origin
  • Age
  • Birthplace
