Team 6: Personal Profile - Mark

Very tall, thin, fit.

Quiet, confident, rowdy with friends, studious, sincere, ready smile

I have a tight group of friends mostly through the local Church's youth group who also are in my class at school. I have my basketball mates as well. The Vinnies group has people outside of school in it so I am lucky to have friends there as well.

I am a House Captain, work on the School Magazine Committee, play in the school's A basketball team. I also coach the younger students in basketball.

I go on the Vinnies Camps during the holidays for kids with little home life and I'm joining Camp Quality next year.

I belong to the School's Basketball Club and am a member of St. Vincent de Paul.

Money? I would like more - I know you have to work for it. I would like a high paying job.
Possessions? I would like to have more than I do - coming from a large family I get lots of hand-me-downs although my older brothers will often buy me stuff - especially basketball gear that I need and they usually get the best stuff for me
Religion? I'm pretty religious and believe that I can make a difference in other people's lives - the Vinnies saying "I am the hands and feet of God"
Marriage? Yes I would like to get married. Some of my older brothers are married with children now and it is great having nieces and nephews. So I would like to have that too. But not yet... I would like to travel first.
Politics? I think it is important to be informed. I would like to be a lawyer so that I could work with the poor - I think I need to know the politics behind policies.

Having a lot of people around me at all times means that I am fairly tolerant of people's ups and downs. I think I'm sensitive to people.

In an ideal world what would be your 5 year plan?
To be working.

What things are standing in the way of achieving this?
Not much I work pretty hard but I'm still unsure of what to do at Uni

What might be some of the solutions?
Just get the highest ATAR as possible.

How will you support yourself if you decide on further training after school?
I will live at home but I will also have my Part-Time job at the Deli.

We have strong family values and most of my older brothers have done extra things with the poor - Vinnies camps etc. I thought I would like to help by being a lawyer but I'm not sure that is the field for me. Being honest, being loyal, looking after the underprivileged.

What is important as far as values go?
   Being true to yourself.
