Team 5: Personal Profile - Kathryn

I am aware of keeping fit and train for Soccer twice a week.

Friendly, good mixer, love to laugh and have fun.

I have a close group of friends (about 6 of us) but mix well with most kids. I think I am fairly popular.

SRC, School Leadership team. Representative in most sports.

Community service is good. I help in Red Cross Door Knocks and help fund raise for different things at School.

Not as yet, but probably when I get older I might join something that appeals at the time.

Money? It is necessary if you want to do a lot of things such as travel. I know Mum and Dad are really conscious of having money. They stay in jobs they don’t particularly like because they don’t want to risk losing the benefits of a Public Service job.
Possessions? I don’t really think a lot about possessions because I have quite a few. I think they are things you worry about only if you don’t have them.
Religion? Religion is important to a lot of people, so I tend to respect it. My parents were both brought up in fairly strict religious families. My grandparents are really strong in their beliefs. I believe it is important to be a good person all the time- not just a Sunday Christian.
Marriage? Only if I meet the right person will I think about getting married. I wouldn’t want to just for the sake of having a husband.
Politics? I’m interested in politics because I do Legal Studies and I’m interested about how laws are made. I’m not really clear which way I’d vote yet, but I do believe it’s important to do it.

It’s important to think about others when you do things. If you hurt other people then it makes what you do worthless.

In an ideal world what would be your 5 year plan?
I would like to be doing something that would allow me to travel. I would like to have done a University degree.

What things are standing in the way of achieving this?
Not sure what Uni Course to do. I have a range of options so can’t focus on one thing.

What might be some of the solutions?
Possibly do a general degree and package it to cover a range of options. Get clearer on my options

How will you support yourself if you decide on further training after school?
Either stay at home or live with my brother if I go to Sydney. Get a Part time job to help with my expenses.

We are a reasonably close family. Mum and Dad are really keen for us to do well. They were really upset when my brother dropped out in Year 11. I am aware that they would be upset if I didn’t go to Uni.

What is important as far as values go?
Being honest, and loyal to your family and friends.
