Team 5: Personal Profile - Anna

I have dark, curly hair. I am tall and slim.

Friendly, chatty and Confident

Megan, Melinda, Sarah, Tanya and Belinda are my closest friends. We go to the Mall whenever Mum gives me time off from the Salon.

I go to school but only because I have to. Mum wants me to finish Year 12.

Charity starts at home. I don’t do too much community work- in fact –I don’t do any.

The only organisations I think are important are those that will help your work.

Money? Really important. If you don’t have money you can’t do the things you want and need to do.
Possessions? Things are great to have. I think it’s really cool that other girls envy the nice cloth’s that I’ve got and the car that Dad gave me.
Religion? We go to Church fairly often. Not every Sunday. If we have somewhere to go we might give it a miss.
Marriage? I’d really like to get married some day. I have decided that my boyfriend is “the one” but we will wait until I have finished my training and opened the second Salon.
Politics? That’s not something I worry too much about. There are far more important things to think about.

Nobody can tell me I can’t do something. I will walk over my friends to get what I want. It is really important to stand up for yourself.

In an ideal world what would be your 5 year plan?
To have completed my apprenticeship and be working in my Mum’s Salon with a view to opening a second one which I will manage. I may go on to do a Business Management qualification as I see Mum has to get a lot of advice from the accountant for things she could do herself.

What things are standing in the way of achieving this?
Nothing that I can think of. It would be really good to do the business qualification part-time while I do the hairdressing.

What might be some of the solutions?
No solutions needed really. I guess it is a matter of seeing if I could manage two lots of study at the one time.

How will you support yourself if you decide on further training after school?
I will be living at home. I won’t need to support myself I am doing a School Based New Apprenticeship already and am well on the way to achieving my goals.

Work hard to achieve your goals. Don’t let anyone stand in your way. Mum and Dad both tell us that we have to work hard.

What is important as far as values go?
Being successful and having people look at you because you are really great at what you do.
