Team 4: Personal Profile -
Pamela

I’m reasonably ok looking. Not really
fit.

I’m pretty laid back. Mum says I do too much, but there is a lot to
be done.

I have a couple of close friends who share my interests in
community activities.

SRC, St. Vincent de Paul Society, School Leadership Team, Amnesty
International Executive.

Participated in the Walk
Against Want, fund raising for the
Fred
Hollows Foundation, and is a leader at
Camp Quality.

Amnesty International - I
really think it is important for young Aboriginals to be active in
Social Justice issues.

Money?
|
It is really great to have enough for your own needs but
more important to use it to help others. I strongly believe
that we would all be better off if we as a country didn't
spend so much on Defence but looked after our poor first. |
|
Possessions?
|
As for money! |
|
Religion?
|
Not really into it! The only time I go to church is if
there’s a wedding or something |
|
Marriage?
|
One day. After I meet the hot guy. |
|
Politics?
|
I am into
Politics... it is one of the great ways to change policy -
get involved. I would like to be a Politician one day but
after I have done a lot more work in Social Justice. |
I like my friends but I don’t bother with anyone else who
doesn't want to change the world.

In an ideal world what would be
your 5 year plan?
To finish school and get a job in an area related to Social Justice
issues.
What things are standing in the way of achieving this?
Nothing really.
What might be some of the solutions?
No solution necessary
How will you support yourself if you decide on further training
after school?
Mum and Dad support my desire to continue with my volunteer work and
so they don't expect me to work in a paying job while I study.

Mum and Dad support my Social conscience because Nanna was part of
the Stolen Generation.
What is important as far as values go?
What isn't important about values??? We are a really
passionate family when it comes to politics, family, social justice
etc. Dad says that if we don't use our voice, we will get the
government we deserve.
