Hanging with friends 1

Monday I do the laundry, then Jordo sometimes comes over and we watch a movie.
Tuesday I visit grandma, help her out and she makes me dinner.
Wednesday Clean the house, maybe go over to Jordan or Tash’s.
Thursday Cleaning, some homework if I can get the time or energy.
Friday Leave dad a note saying I’m going somewhere, his dinner is always cooked
Saturday Hang out with friends at their house, pool or mall depends on weather and mood
Sunday clean and do last minute homework

Communication I’m ok at communication. I always have to talk to teachers about assignments and things, plus it is my responsibility to liaise with the electricity and phone company about our bills. I have learnt to communicate on the same level that adults do, because dad is rarely sober or home to do so.

Negotiation I am really good at negotiation. As mentioned above, sometimes I have to negotiate extensions on my assignments and also on when bills are going to be paid. I have a way of being able to reach agreement with other people.

Numerical I am ok with numbers. I don’t enjoy it all that much but I realise that it is important to be able to budget and you need a good basis numerically to be able to do so.

Technological We don’t own a computer anymore, the only reason I use technology is with my mobile and the e-mail at school.

Social I love my social life. I am always hanging with my friends. We go to the movies or parties, sometimes they come around and we have a few drinks at my house because dad doesn’t care at all and is rarely home. I can’t wait though til I am 18.

Physical Physical: I am happy with my body, even though I am pretty tall for my age. I don’t really exercise outside of school, but I always get involved in PE and human movement.

Creative I don’t like ‘arty farty’ stuff at all.

Leadership We don’t have any real leaders in our group. Some of the girls parent see me as being a bad influence, when really I’m not. My friends don’t have to do anything if they don’t want to. I think it’s just because I don’t have adult supervision that they think I am a bad kid…. But I’m probably a lot more mature than their daughters.

Practical I like doing things, I think I am a practical person. When I see something that needs action then I get right in and do it.

Home duties I am responsible for keeping the house clean. I don’t mind, besides it’s better than living in a pig sty. I also cook my own dinner and dad’s when he is home. I am responsible for waking him up and seeing that he gets to work (doesn’t always happen), plus having his breakfast made. I also sometimes help grandma with chores around her house.

I like that I am a pretty self-sufficient and independent character. I think my talent is to make anyone feel comfortable and part of the group. I don’t believe in being exclusive with friends. I think I am pretty intelligent despite the fact that not all of my homework arrives on time. I am also very good at writing.

Casual work:
I haven’t had a casual job as yet, but I am thinking of just getting a job at a fast food place or at the mall.

Work Experience:
I hope to spend some time this and next year getting work experience in child care. I absolutely love kids, perhaps because I have no siblings.
