PROCESS - Part 2 - Life's Hiccups


1. As you know, life isn't always smooth and easy.

In this second part of the Challenge, you will need to re-assess the recommendations, advice and careers you have given to your clients.

"A serious accident forced Wayne Warburton to change careers. He started his working life as a plumber but is now a university lecturer in psychology."

2. It is now 1 - 10 years on.......

Go to your Life's Hiccups Worksheet and record the following for each of your clients....

3. You have to throw a pair of dice and record the number. Go to the recorded number below and click to see the life-hiccup for your client. 

Note: If you have Bec as your client, Life-Hiccup No.6 is invalid for you.
Please roll the dice again if you score a 6 or choose a "Spare Life's Hiccups".

4. Record the life-hiccup for each client on the worksheet.

5. As a team, work out ONE career that would now best suit your client.

6. Record this career and justifications.

7. Based on the information about each client, your proposed "best" three career choices, and, the career choice after “Life’s Hiccups”, which of those clients you’ve studied is most likely to be successful in the next twenty years?

Decide what criteria you will use to define and evaluate what it means for client to be ‘successful.’

Give a full account (presentation) to the Senior Management Board of your career choice, and, your criteria for 'successful'.
